The roots of South Mountain Memory Care run deep in the Lehigh Valley. Owners Billy Wall of Valley Builders, Joe Cimerola of LifeCare Holdings and Joe Bubba of Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba Law saw the need to serve seniors with memory impairment in their community. Confident they could provide a safe and secure home-like environment to serve the aging residents of the greater Lehigh Valley, together they created the first privately-owned, “Small House” designed memory care facility in the area.
Since opening in 2018, SMMC has created a family-oriented culture, reflected in the care they provide to their residents and how they treat their employees. Wanting to carry on the family-centered tradition, the owners didn’t have to look far for a team to lead the community. Billy’s niece, Megan DePalma (Executive Director) and Joe’s daughter, Amelia Cimerola (Managing Consultant) have been instrumental in guiding SMMC through the day-to-day operations of the community, founded on unparalleled compassion and excellent services.
South Mountain’s simple but intentional design is the perfect setting for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of Dementia. Residents enjoy a robust daily activities program, nutritious meals in a comfortable dining environment and around-the-clock attention, designed specifically for their individual needs. SMMC features 24 resident rooms, carefully constructed to provide a beautiful place to call home. Proud of its commitment to raising the standard of care, SMMC gives families the peace of mind they deserve when trusting a community for their loved one.
